Brian Jackson has long had the dream of owning a winery.  While it has been a private dream, not shared with many outside his close circle, it has been one that he finally has seen come to life, with Kobayashi Winery.

Brian's dream started when he learned how to make moonshine from one of the country best moonshiners several years ago, having never put his new found talent to work - to say that he did have the taste for it would be an understatement.  Not being able to handle his first drink of moonshine at age 14, Brian has looked for a more refined beverage.  It was 1999 that Brian was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel concerning his dream of owning a winery.  

Years later, after obstacles and setbacks, Brian was able to secure the rights to start Kobayashi Winery in Hampton Roads Virginia, and his dream become a reality.  With the winery's first bottling to take place in the fall of 2010, Brian and his family hope that you will take part in celebrating with them in watching this micro-winery grow as one of the nation's best in class. 

Self taught the business, Brian has educated himself to a complete knowledge and understanding of the industry and the opportunities that presents themselves to vineyards and wineries today. Brian is a perfectionist, always ensuring quality when it comes to his wine and the selections he makes from grapes around the country. 

Providing exceptional wines to discriminating consumers, has been a trademark of this family owned winery, which intends to never produce more than 2000 cases of Reserve Stock per year.

Collaborating with some of the best in the wine industry, Kobayashi Winery has begn to make its mark on the industry.  With both an on-line shop for wine and wine accessories, retailer store locations and restuarant featuring the Kobayashi brand, Brian has been able to develop the quality of life that's synonymous with great tasting wines of America.  The pursuit of fine wines is the passionate mission for this winery.
